“While we continue to expand the range of vehicles and technologies available in the country, we are moving forward together with our dealer network to provide a premium customer experience and prepare for the arrival of BMW Group electromobility in Argentina in the second half of this year” said Ivana Dip, CEO of the BMW Group of Argentina.

In Argentina, the M240i xDrive will be the first exponent of the new Series 2 coupe. Manufactured in Mexico, it is already available with a 3.0 engine that offers 387 CV of power and a torque of 500Nm. The drive assembly is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. The propeller exceeds the previous one by 47 hp while the transmission, in addition to having paddles on the steering wheel, includes the Launch Control and Sprint functions. The latter gives you the ability to perform overtaking maneuvers by activating sport mode.

Other key points to improve dynamism is the M Sport suspension with its stiffer damper design, as well as the variable sports steering that becomes firmer as speed increases. For its part, the M Sport differential at the rear optimizes traction, agility and stability by providing the necessary torque at each wheel.

The dimensions reach 4,537 mm long and 1,838 mm wide. In other words, they increase 105 and 64 mm, respectively, compared to the measurements of the previous model. In addition, the current model is 28 mm lower, with a height of 1,390 mm.

These aspects, together with a 50-50 weight distribution between each axle, the new lightweight design of the bodywork and chassis, the increase in static torsional rigidity of up to 12%, as well as the aerodynamic improvements, give it a better dynamic behavior, with more poise and response at high speeds and in curves. Similarly, there is an increase in trails. The wheelbase also grew by 51mm.

The front grille features the iconic BMW kidneys in a horizontal design. The flared fenders and the muscular Power Dome in the center of the hood seek to gain sportiness. The front LED headlights are reminiscent of the legendary BMW 02 model, while the rear ones also feature LED technology.

The side view shows the 19-inch M light-alloy wheels and each M sport brake caliper is highlighted in dark blue metallic. The aerodynamic components located in the front and rear bumpers correspond to the M aerodynamic package.

Meanwhile, inside, it includes the front seats with electrical adjustment (including a memory function on the driver’s side) and the M sports leather steering wheel. The surfaces are upholstered in the Alcantara/Sensatec combination.

The new Series 2 also incorporates 6-tone ambient lighting, three-zone automatic climate control, a high-definition sound system that includes 10 speakers and 205 Watts of power. The multimedia system is the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch control screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available for smartphone synchronization.

The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant (BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant) features expanded capabilities and new graphics on the control screen. In addition, the tilt and slide glass roof has a transparent surface that is almost 20% larger than in the previous model.

The suggested price is $101,900.
