The Swedish company Volvo plans to start selling the updated XC60 crossover in Russia in the first quarter of 2022. This was reported on December 7 by the analytical agency “Autostat”.
Externally, the updated Volvo XC60 crossover can be distinguished from a pre-styling car by a modified radiator grille, a modernized front bumper, as well as by original rims.
The car also received a new multimedia complex with the Android operating system with access to proprietary Google applications and a navigator based on the Google Maps mapping service.
In addition, the updated Volvo XC60 is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). It includes various sensors, radars and video cameras that monitor the situation around the car and help prevent potentially dangerous situations on the highway. All detailed information about the model will be provided before the start of sales.
In addition, an all-electric XC40 Recharge crossover is expected on the Russian market approximately in the second quarter. The car has a capacity of 408 hp. and is capable of traveling over 400 km on a single charge (WLTP standard). The fast charging system recharges the battery from 0 to 80% in approximately 40 minutes.
On July 7, it was reported that Volvo will transform itself into a premium electric vehicle manufacturer and a global leader in the fast-growing premium electric segment by 2030.
The company plans to build cars with a real range that is double that of current electric vehicles. By the middle of this decade, Volvo expects to sell 1.2 million vehicles worldwide, of which at least half will be fully electric.
