At least since Russia reduced gas deliveries to Germany to 60 percent last week, it has become clear that things could get tight. That is why Economics Minister Robert Habeck presented new plans at the weekend. And he’s not the only one. What could really help?

The question is becoming more and more pressing: How will we get through next winter? In order to secure the German gas supply, Robert Habeck wants to significantly reduce gas consumption, accelerate gas storage – and temporarily even increase production in coal-fired power plants.
