set an increase of almost 5% for bioethanol from corn and sugar cane

The last bioethanol adjustment had been applied at the end of last December (4.16%) and had brought the price of that product to $123.422 per liter.

During 2022, this biofuel increased in February, April, May, September, October, November and December, accumulating a rise of 107.95% throughout the year, above inflation.

Energía recalled that the price updates reflect the variation of the values in the pumps of the YPF service stations in the city of Buenos Aires.

In addition, it clarified that the payment term for bioethanol made from sugar cane and corn may not exceed, in any case, 30 calendar days from the date of the corresponding invoice. Since September 2021, the prices of this biofuel are updated monthly by Energía.

Besides, the The Ministry of Energy argued in the recitals that the increase is due to the increase in YPF on January 16 for grade 2 and 3 gasoline.
