The AFIP detected 113 tons of undeclared grains in northeastern Argentina

“It was verified that the grains had a dubious origin, due to the lack of consignment letters that support the acquisition of the merchandise by legitimate producers. In this sense, the DGI verified that the senders and recipients of the soybeans and corn lacked of economic and financial capacity to carry out the activity”, detailed AFIP in a statement.

As a result of the irregularities detected, the inspectors proceeded to interdict the load of five trucks carrying a load of 83 tons of corn and 30 tons of soybeans, merchandise that, according to the current price on the Rosario Stock Exchange, has a value that amounts to 6.6 million pesos.

“The actions of the DGI specialized in agricultural activities focus their efforts to dismantle potential tax evasion maneuvers and guarantee compliance with current regulations to prevent the different actors in the chain from committing irregularities that result in unfair competition for legitimate producers,” affirmed the organization led by Carlos Castagneto.

Kidnapping

Days ago, Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA) kidnapped in Misiones an illegal shipment of more than 9 tons of undeclared soybeans that was going to be smuggled into Brazil from the coast of the Uruguay River.

The seizure carried out by PNA agents consists of 9,400 kilos of soybeans that did not have the relevant customs guarantee and that were about to be shipped in the Misiones town of El Soberbio.

The kidnapping was The result of a land patrol that made it possible to detect, at kilometer 1149 of the Uruguay River, a group of people handling packages.

Upon intercepting it, the Maritime Authority verified that it was about 202 burlap bags with more than 46 kilos each of soybeans inside, which were being loaded from a truck to two vessels docked on the coast.
