3e announced this in a press release today, Thursday. Koll succeeds Markus Dulle, who has been CEO of 3e Handels- und Dienstleistungs AG since 2016 and is leaving the company at the end of March at his own request.
Koll starts his job on April 1st. The 56-year-old Leondinger has experience in retail. As an apprentice, Koll worked for trading doyen Gerhard Weiß. After graduating from high school and studying, he worked for the sporting goods manufacturer Camaro Komperdell in Mondsee and Boards & More in Molln.
This was followed by positions at the eyewear manufacturer Silhouette and at Intersport. He then became self-employed as a management consultant with a focus on retail before he was hired by the garden center specialist Bellaflora, which has its headquarters in Leonding, in 2019. He was CEO there until October 2022 and then remained on board as a consultant.
The 3e Group increased revenue last year by 3.7 percent to 735 million euros. In Austria it was 537 million euros, in other European countries 198 million. 3e has 321 member companies in twelve countries, most of them in south-eastern Europe. Around 2500 people are employed in Austria. does 60 percent of the business 3e with private customers, 40 percent with industrial and commercial customers.
