Oberbank intends to increase the distribution for the 2022 financial year by 45 cents to EUR 1.45 per dividend-entitled share. Due to the “very satisfactory operating results that are emerging”, the board of directors decided to propose this dividend to the annual general meeting on May 16, 2023, Oberbank announced on Thursday.
According to preliminary calculations, the group’s pre-tax profit should be between 280 and 300 million euros, the bank predicts. A positive effect should be that the write-downs for Oberbank’s at-equity investments – this primarily affects the stake in the Linz-based steel and technology group voestalpine – are likely to be lower compared to the first three quarters of 2022. In 2021, the annual profit before tax was almost 282 million euros. The final figures will be published on April 3rd.
