A month ago there were price cuts from energy suppliers for new customers. On Friday, Energie Ried announced that it would reduce the gas working price for existing customers (and again for new customers) as of May 1st – by around 45 percent from the current gross price of 21.59 cents per kWh (kilowatt hour) to 11.99 cents . In addition, a price guarantee is given until the end of September 2024.
According to the company, this results in annual savings of around 950 euros for a 70 square meter apartment and 2100 euros for a 150 square meter single-family house.
“We completed our gas purchases for 2024 on more favorable terms than in the past turbulent years. And as always promised, we give these
lower prices to our customers”, says Energie-Ried Managing Director Friedrich Pöttinger. The price guarantee means stability for the coming winter.
Energie AG currently has an existing customer tariff of 14.35 cents and a new customer tariff of 16.59 cents, with Linz AG it is 9.17 and 13.85 cents respectively.
