YPF buys Enel’s part in the Central Dock Sud

The majority-state oil company exercised its right of first refusal to keep the shares of the Italian company in the thermoelectric plant.

As they could confirm Ambit, the YPF board of directors recently approved the acquisition of the shares held by Enel in the company, now it will have control of the company. A minority part remains in possession of Pan American Energy (PAE).

A source from the majority state oil company indicated that the YPF authorities decided to exercise the preferential right that -because it was a shareholder of Central Dock Sud- allowed it to match an offer made by its competitors to add Enel’s shares.

The thermoelectric plant has the capacity to produce 120.2 GWh with diesel and some 4,337 GWh with natural gas.
