The trade unions continue trying to establish agreements to counteract the decrease in purchasing power that Argentine society is experiencing due to inflation, which in February reached 6.6%.
The list of demonstrations and strikes that occurred in the few months that we have been in 2023 is long, and taking into account the inflationary forecasts for the coming months, the unions seek to agree in advance to update the salaries of the coming months so as not to lose out with the rise in prices.
The Argentine Union of Pharmacists and Biochemists (SAFYB) obtained a new parity for 2023, which with a 46% semi-annual increase, it will raise the average salary of biochemical and pharmaceutical professionals in the country to 500,000 pesos per month, starting in May of this year. This parity is among the highest nationwide.
