The president of Banco Provincia, Juan Cuattromoand the Minister of the Environment of the province of Buenos Aires, Daniela Vilarpresented a responsible production and consumption plan to an SME in General Rodríguez that includes two lines of financing with sustainability criteria aimed at the technological reconversion of companies and to promote the acquisition of household appliances with low energy consumption by families.

On the one hand, the Industrial Reconversion and Technological Innovation Program (PRIIT) provides companies with technical assistance from the Ministry of the Environment in the diagnosis of their production processes and in the preparation of an action plan to adapt them to current environmental regulations. .

In order to make the necessary investments that allow a more sustainable production, large and medium-sized companies will be able to access a line of financing from Banco Provincia with an amount of up to 150 million pesos per loan, 60-month term and rate subsidized by the Buenos Aires Ministry of Production. For their part, MiPymes will have the possibility of obtaining non-reimbursable contributions from the Ministry of the Environment. Industrial establishments interested in accessing the program may receive advice and assistance for access to financing by writing to the email [email protected].

The program also includes support and technical assistance to SMEs through the joint construction of diagnoses on the processes and infrastructure of industrial establishments to identify potential improvements and training for employees.

The other part of the plan is the Responsible Consumption Program, aimed at facilitating families’ access to clean technologies such as type A appliances, photovoltaic panels and solar water heaters, through a line of personal loans. The credits have a maximum amount of 5 million pesos, a term of up to 48 months, rates from 51.5% per year and finance up to 100% of the pro forma invoice of the equipment, with VAT and shipping costs included. With this action it is estimated to achieve energy savings of up to 260,000 KWz per month.

To access credit, goods must be purchased from one of the companies participating in the program. During the purchase process, the company delivers a form and a proforma invoice. With this documentation, they must go to the bank branch and request the credit that will finance up to 100% of the invoice, including VAT and shipping costs.
