Formal industrial employment reaches its highest level in four years

3,000 formal jobs were created in the last month. Thus, the industry accumulates 33 consecutive months of growth.

The industry accumulates 33 consecutive months of month-on-month growth of the formal employmentwhich means the longest period of expansion since at least 2009.

According to data from Employment and Business Dynamics Observatory of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Securitybased on SIPA, formal private employment in the Industry grew by 0.3% in February compared to January, that is, that generated more than 3,000 formal jobs in a month. In this way, the industry presented the highest level of employment in more than four yearssince April 2018 (1,184,300 people).

Year-on-year growth in formal industrial employment
