It was a double opening, so to speak, that the listed Palfinger group made on Monday in the Innviertel. The world market leader for crane and lifting platform solutions celebrated the opening of the Palfinger Campus for training and further education and the Palfinger World, in which brands and products can be experienced in a different way. Palfinger has invested a total of ten million euros in both projects.

According to Palfinger CEO Andreas Klauser, the campus will be the group-wide training and further education center for employees. Palfinger employs around 12,500 people worldwide and had a turnover of 2.23 billion euros in 2022.

Center for employees

The first training workshop was opened in Lengau 30 years ago, and today the group is training 120 apprentices in 15 different technical and commercial trades. In addition, the campus is also a training center for the entire Palfinger workforce worldwide.

Palfinger World covers 1,600 square meters. The group presents its brands and products there, as well as a fan shop for visitors. It should be a place of exchange for employees and guests.

Upper Austria’s governor Thomas Stelzer praised the Salzburg group’s investment in the Innviertel as an important initiative to train skilled workers and keep them in the company. This would also ensure the international competitiveness of the region.
