Nevertheless, the Hörsching-based company is confident for the year as a whole, as announced yesterday, Thursday.

Polytec’s consolidated sales increased by 12.8 percent to EUR 167.8 million compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The increased turnover is due to higher sales prices and the increased production volume. However, the result was significantly burdened by “punctual production bottlenecks as a result of significant delays in the delivery of production facilities” and the increased number of employees. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) fell from 2.9 to 0.2 million euros. For 2023, management expects a slight market recovery, more stable supply chains and the launch of several new products.
