Entrepreneurs supported the increase in the credit card purchase limit

Entrepreneurs from different sectors supported the decision of the Ministry of Economy to raise the purchase limit with Credit cardsbecause they understand that this measure benefits both production and consumption.

The General Business Confederation of the Argentine Republic (CGERA) considered that the measure is “beneficial to continue producing and generating Argentine work.”

“To any measure that serves to maintain consumption at the levels that we had achieved and so that it fment the national industry, we are going to accompany it”, affirmed the president of the entity, Marcelo Fernandez.

Credit cards: businessmen expressed support for the measure

To boost consumption, the Ministry of Economy ordered this week that the margins of purchases in installments with credit cards be increased by 30% and the margins of purchases with cards in a single payment by 25%. For his part, the President of the Argentine Chamber of the Optical and Related Industry (CADIOA), Norberto Fermani, considered “it is fundamental that the credit in the opticians can be solved, since the market is crying out for some form of financing.”

In addition, he indicated: “The population does not want to get into debt because they are risk averse and, if we add to this that credit card limits did not allow them to finance a purchase, this shows us perfectly what the problem we have with consumption is.”

Credit card alert: users could pay up to 120% interest for payments in installments

“That is why we hope that this measure will improve the situation,” added the businessman.

Meanwhile, the president of the Industrial Chamber of Leather and Related Manufactures (CIMA), Rubén Pallone, stressed the importance of increasing the limits of the cards, since, as he evaluated, “if it is about relatively large purchases, people make the interest account against inflation and can take installments.”

And he added that for small purchases, “people prefer a payment so as not to get into debt.” From the Sweater Chamber, Pedro Bergaglio pointed out: “As a trader, I think that everything that implies an increase in credit is going to benefit us, because sales are very weak.”

“With this measure, people having more credit will be able to improve their consumption,” he emphasized.
