Newspaper report: Extra canteen areas for vaccinated and convalescent people in companies

How could companies create more relief for their vaccinated and recovered employees? Some large corporations are apparently already running pilot projects for this.

According to a media report, several large companies want to offer their own canteen areas or cafeterias to those vaccinated in the future and employees who have recovered from Corona in the Corona crisis.

In these special areas, employees without protective specifications are likely to sit together, while those who are not vaccinated or who do not provide any information about their vaccination status,
continue with spacing rules, masks or partitions at
Essen would have to live, reports the “Rheinische Post” (Monday).

The Bayer Group, for example, speaks of several pilot projects for canteen areas only for vaccinated and convalescent people, according to the newspaper. Like other companies, Bayer emphasizes that non-vaccinated people continue to have access to canteens. Everything is planned in close cooperation with the works council. The companies surveyed by the “Rheinische Post” also want to keep the home office quota high.

Bayer also reported that employees would join forces on their own to form work groups without unvaccinated people. “Self-organized groups (for example in multi-person or open-plan offices, in laboratories or sub-areas of production) can voluntarily apply the 2G rule (vaccinated or recovered) without distance or mask or hold work meetings in face-to-face meetings,” the paper quotes Companies.
