Due to a company meeting of flying staff planned for next Friday, the AUA is canceling 150 flights that day, the airline announced. The affected connections have already been removed from the system and passengers have been informed. Further short-term adjustments to the flight plan are also possible.
The AUA is not affected by the strikes announced by ground staff at parent company Lufthansa in Germany on Thursday. According to the information, the flights are taking place as planned.

Stalled negotiations
The reason for the cuts is the stalled collective agreement negotiations. It’s about the collective agreement (KV) for pilots and flight attendants. After a good economic year for the aviation industry and a significant increase in ticket prices, the union is demanding that employees also benefit in the form of good salary increases.
Last Friday, almost 140 flights were canceled due to company meetings and a spontaneous warning strike. The vida union said on Tuesday that further collective bargaining discussions were scheduled before the upcoming meetings.
