The Rabota.ru service studied in which regions of Russia the rates of hiring employees and opening vacancies were the highest in 2021. According to the study, experts have compiled a rating of cities in which the labor market is recovering the fastest.

As noted by Anna Khvostova, director for regional development of the Rabota.ru service, at the end of last year, record pace of business recovery across the country. According to her, the total number of vacancies opened on the service increased by 22% compared to 2020.

“Companies have adapted to the new realities imposed by the global coronavirus pandemic, and large regional companies have played a key role in the nationwide results. That is why in the HR Galaxy Awards we opened the Hero of the Region nomination, in which any company can share their own successful case and the best results in the HR industry of their city or region for free. According to the results of 2021, Moscow and the Moscow Region became the leaders in the growth of vacancies. The top five also included St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, the Krasnodar Territory and the Novosibirsk Region.

The Tyumen, Sverdlovsk and Saratov regions, the republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan were in the top 10 regions with the largest number of vacancies.

Employers in all regions were particularly in need of workers from the trade, transport and logistics, manufacturing and agricultural sectors, as well as from the office services and business services sectors.

On January 13, it became known that Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Sverdlovsk and Novosibirsk regions are in the top regions for the spread of remote mode.

The Ministry of Labor noted that this format of employment is most actively used in financial and educational organizations, in the development of computer software, as well as in railway transport – in the field of passenger transportation logistics.
