Mendoza Group recovers warehouse with million investment

This reality was not indifferent for a group made up of businessmen from Mendoza who invested $19 million to add value to the Aleph Wine Co. Their goal is to produce premium wines for export and also to compete in the high-end local segment. And with that spirit they already face the tasks for this year’s harvest.

In the winemaking and technical direction, the winemaker Matías Morcos was appointed, recognized in 2019 as the Revelation Winemaker at just 24 years old according to the Chilean specialist Patricio Tapia. Aleph has high quality grapes for export wines, especially reds such as Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Syrah, as well as the typical varietals of the area such as Bonarda and Criollas, among others. In addition, it applies state-of-the-art technology, epoxy-coated reinforced concrete pools and cold equipment, and an interdisciplinary team of leading industry professionals.

The winery aims to position the Mendoza area of Junín with high-end wines, as well as to become an eco-friendly company, with actions aimed at becoming a Triple Impact company (social, environmental and economic).

It has also been working together with the INTA Junín Agricultural Experimental Station, within the framework of the Rural Change Program, to assist small producers of quality grapes in the area.

wine tourism

Another objective of the winery is to become a benchmark for wine tourism in the province, given that it is in an easily accessible area, at a point considered strategic that adds to the local tourist offer.

“We are a group of businessmen from the Eastern Zone of Mendoza who have undertaken this high-end wine project and who believe a lot in our viticulture. We know that excellent quality wines are made in our region and we are betting everything with this new winery equipped with the latest technology and with a team that supports it. We are going to offer a quality product for both the domestic and foreign markets”, explained Sharbel Morcos, director of the investment group of Aleph Wine Co.

The name of the winery alludes to that mythical point in the universe where everything comes together and which was recorded by Jorge Luis Borges in one of his stories.
