A former villa of Karl Lagerfeld came under the hammer. But he is said to have only spent one night in the manor house.
Karl Lagerfeld (1933-2019) passed away around six years ago at the age of 85 and left a mourning fashion world. On July 1, a former villa of the fashion tsar in the French Louveciennes was auctioned – for a minimum bid of 4,685,000 euros.
The former hunting lodge in Louveciennes is around 20 kilometers west of Paris and consists of a main house and outbuildings with around 600 square meters of living space. it is described as a “beautiful neoclassical bourgeois mansion”. There is also a pool with a pool house, a tennis court, two guest houses, a room once used as a studio, an in -house library and an elevator over all floors. There should also be a wine cellar there.
Lagerfeld is said to have slept in the villa only one night
According to the television magazine, Karl Lagerfeld is said to have only spent one night in the villa. Around three years ago, the lovingly renovated property was sold to an investor and now ended up in an auction. The buyer is unknown.
A Paris apartment of the former chief designer of Chanel had already reached the hammer last year. In just 19 minutes, the 260 square meter apartment of Lagerfeld, which was originally valued at 5.3 million euros, was to be duked to a new owner, according to “explosive”. Karl Lagerfeld lived in the apartment, which he reported to be designed in a futuristic style, about ten years. The fashion designer died in Paris on February 19, 2019 at the age of 85. The city is closely linked to its career.
