Amber Heard and the donations: She gets caught up in contradictions

Cross-examined by Johnny Depp’s attorney, Camille Vasquez, Amber Heard had to explain why she didn’t donate all the money from the divorce. In the past, she had repeatedly emphasized that the seven million dollars went to good causes.

Seven million dollars. That’s what Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s marriage, which lasted a little over a year, was ultimately worth. Depp paid the actress the money with the agreement that she should no longer make allegations against him and no longer speak about the alleged domestic violence.

Amber Heard: Money not donated by Johnny Depp

In return, Heard publicly promised to donate part of the seven million to a children’s hospital in Los Angeles. The other part should go to the “American Civil Liberties Union”, an organization that works to uphold civil rights. On Monday, Heard was questioned by Johnny Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez – the result was some inconsistencies.

In week three, ACLU Chief Operating Officer Terence Dougherty had testified in a Virginia court, detailing how much money the organization actually received. Dougherty said they only received $1.3 million in donations. Elon Musk is said to have transferred $500,000, Heard $350,000, Johnny Depp $100,000 directly and additional money from an investment fund. He couldn’t say what happened to the rest of the millions.

Possible perjury in London

Under cross-examination on Monday, Heard admitted for the first time that she did not donate all of the money, citing Johnny Depp’s lawsuit against her, which cost her money. She couldn’t pay “because Johnny sued me for $50 million in March 2019,” she said. In August 2016, both parties agreed on the high sum of millions and laid down the conditions for it.

The spicy thing about Amber Heard’s confession that she did not donate all the money: During the defamation process between the British newspaper “The Sun” and Johnny Depp, she said under oath that she had given the sum. So it’s possible that she might have committed perjury in court.
