Rothschild Castle becomes a cinema hall again

WAIDHOFEN/YBBS. For the twelfth time, the association “Filmzuckerl” is organizing the Schlosshofkino in cooperation with the city of Waidhofen. To start with, the black comedy “Der Onkel/The Hawk” was shown in the presence of 400 viewers and actor Michael Ostrowski. “We were completely sold out. It was particularly nice to see how people threw themselves on Ostrowski,” says Andreas Kössl, chairman of the Filmzuckerl association.

The next performance is a preview: the Austrian drama “Märzengrund” can be seen today, August 9th, in the courtyard of the castle. A week later, on August 16, the comedy “Beckenrand Sheriff” will be shown in the castle courtyard.

Content: Karl (Milan Peschel) has been a lifeguard, lifeguard and poolside sheriff for over 30 years. He tries to save his beloved outdoor pool from closing through a citizens’ initiative. The necessary 600 signatures are difficult to obtain, however, and none of the bathers can speak to Karl. The comedy comes from director Marcus H. Rosenmüller (“He who dies earlier is dead longer”).

“After two years of Corona, we wanted to play something fun and lighter again. That’s why we decided on two comedies,” says Kössl. In cooperation with the Waidhofen world shop, the last film, “The light from which dreams are made”, will be shown on August 23rd.
