Immediately afterwards, he talked about the possibility of performing live again with his band Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado: “It seems to me that I no longer want to show up for this evil. I don’t want to be an artist who is fighting there, on stage. El Indio has already served his time.”

Subsequently, he assured that “El Mister” -as he refers to himself- “does not have a vocation for directing”, but that “he wants to make music and that whoever wants to play it”.

“This has already been decided for a long time. I give the band and the brand to Los Fundamentalistas because they have been very enthusiastic and emotional towards me during the 15 years we were together. I had known for some time that when the matter of being an old man, of a young artist, came to me, I did not want El Indio to be up there. I already have it prepared, I am not suffering or grieving, I do not miss the stage much, ”he added.

It is worth remembering that the last show of Indio Solari was in March 2017, in Olavarría. That night two people died, and since then the singer has not played live again. The combo of his illness, added to the massiveness of the phenomenon, ended up liquefying that possibility.

Currently, Solari works in the studio with his solo projects: The Mister and the Extinct Marsupials and The Shy Singer.
