RTL: Model Alex Mariah Peter is the first to fly from “Let’s Dance”

The field of candidates is still large, as is the effort of some with their dance routines – a TV chef’s pants even burst. And while one model is eliminated, another becomes the favourite.

For model Alex Mariah Peter, RTL’s dance show “Let’s Dance” is over shortly after it starts. The 25-year-old left the show on Saturday night along with her dance partner Alexandru Ionel. There just weren’t enough votes from the audience to go through. After all, the jury had sorted the couple in the lower midfield.

However, the jurors had also been critical of the cha-cha-cha that the model had presented. The usual strict adjudicator Joachim Llambi denounced, for example, the posture. The 25-year-old was “too far behind” with her weight, he judged.

He compared the sight to someone carrying a “vendor” and selling candy. That must be “more on the foot”, warned Llambi. You also need to work on your stamina. But there won’t be a second chance for Peter – she’s out.

Now it’s getting serious

Born in Cologne, who was the first trans woman to win the “Germany’s Next Top Model” format in 2021, is the first celebrity to have had to leave “Let’s Dance”. The show had started its 16th season a week earlier. In the first episode, however, no celebrity had to go – it was initially about getting to know and forming the dancing couples.

In “Let’s Dance” celebrities dance with professional dancers. 13 couples are still in the running.

It was much happier on Friday evening on the RTL floor for another model: Anna Ermakova, daughter of tennis legend Boris Becker (55), convinced again with a dance and can already be the first favorite for a “Let’s Dance” victory are valid. Her mother, the model Angela Ermakova, was also very proud of her, the 22-year-old reported afterwards. “Thank you mom!” she said to the camera. In the first episode, Anna Ermakova danced her way to the top of the field of candidates.

Star chef with a hole in his pants

Between the pain of one model and the triumph of the other, there was room for a more whimsical moment. After TV chef Ali Güngörmüs (46) and his partner Christina Luft danced a technically not very mature but fast jive on the floor, a hole in his pants was suddenly visible. “I can’t explain why either!” said Güngörmüs.

Juror Llambi then tried an analysis. “I thought you were totally overwhelmed with everything. A kick here, a kick there, an arm there,” he listed the inadequacies of the performance – and then the pants burst.
