The Lord of the Rings series adds new protagonists for its second season

Ciarán Hinds, Rory Kinnear and Tanya Moodie arrive in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Might on Amazon Prime Video.

Ciarán Hinds, Rory Kinnear and tanya moodie join the cast of season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power of Amazon Prime Video in recurring roles.

Payne and Patrick McKaythe Serie The Lord of the ringswhich is currently in production in the UK, is set in the Second Age of Middle-earth, thousands of years before the events of the films. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows a cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the feared resurgence of evil in Middle-earth.

Hinds, Kinnear and Moodie join the already confirmed Season 2 additions previously announced, sam hazeldinewho assumes the role of the orc leader Adar, replacing joseph mawle, who played the character in season 1; as well as Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen ‘Zates’ Atour, Ben Daniels, newcomer Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towle, Nicholas Woodeson, Oliver Alvin-Wilson, Stuart Bowman, Gavi Singh Chera, William Chubb, Kevin Eldon, Will Keen, Selina Lo and Calam Lynch.

As McKay revealed in the season finale, the elf Círdan, who wears one of the three rings forged by Celebrimbor until he hands it over to Gandalf, will be introduced in season 2, along with other ring-bearers, including Dwarf-kings and Nazgûl.

An Oscar and BAFTA nominee for his role in Belfast, Hinds also starred in films like Munich, There Will Be Blood, In Bruges and Justice Leagueas well as television series such as game of Thrones and rome.

Kinnear, known for his roles in the films of James Bond Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectercan currently be seen in the series HBO Max of Taika Waititi, Our Flag Means Death. Her other television credits include Inside No. 9, Penny Dreadful, Southcliffe and Black Mirror.

Moodie’s television credits include the role of Meg in the sitcom motherland from the BAFTA-winning BBC, along with A Discovery of Witches, The Man Who Fell To Earth and Sherlock. Her film roles include JJ Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker as General Parnadee and Sam Mendes’ Empire of Light as Delia.
