Special functions this Sunday of Bafici-winning films

The Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (Bafici) will carry out a series of special functions outside of programming to allow the viewing of some of the winning films of the competitions, which were known yesterday.

The programming, ticket reservation links and the catalog will be found on the Vivamos Cultura website.

The award-winning films that will have new shows are “Terminal Young”, maximum winner of the Argentine Competition with the Grand Jury Prize, which will be seen at the Gaumont Cinema (1635 Rivadavia Avenue) at 4:20 p.m.

At the Cine Multiplex Monumental Lavalle (Lavalle 780) at 8:00 p.m., you can see “El Santo”, by Agustín Carbonere, winner of the Best Director Award and the Argentine Cinema Stimulus Award of the International Official Competition.

At El Cultural San Martín (Sarmiento 1551) at 9:15 p.m., “Once upon a time in Qatar” by Federico Rotstein and Ignacio Ceroi will be screened, about the 1995 U-20 World Cup and which was not part of any competitive section.

Meanwhile, “And, Towards Happy Alleys by Sreemoyee Singh”, winner of the Best Feature Film Award in the Official International Competition and inspired by Iranian cinema and poetry, will be screened at the Cine Cosmos (2046 Corrientes Avenue) at 9:20 p.m.

This 24th edition of Bafici began on Wednesday the 19th with the opening gala in which the film “Ultimo recurso” by Matías Szulanski was screened, and yesterday it presented its awards, extending its screenings until this Monday, May 1.
