When “Vogue” boss Anna Wintour invites to the Met Gala, they all come: stars from fashion, music, film and sports. The spectacle traditionally takes place on the first Monday in May in New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year the motto was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty”, a tribute to the designer who died in 2019. Most of the stars therefore wore outfits in black or white – just as the master himself preferred.
In addition to the outfits, some performances provided additional topics of conversation. Both ex-tennis star Serena Williams and model Karlie Kloss announced that they are each expecting a second child. And singer Rihanna, also pregnant for the second time, appeared in a white gown with a meter-long train and floral appliqués – speculation immediately arose that the 35-year-old could have secretly married her partner A$AP Rocky.
