“As an artist, I don’t think I can credibly present work that doesn’t accurately represent where I am and how I need to express myself at this point in my life. This album is just that. For the first time I’m not trying to create an album that people like, I’m releasing something that is honest and truthful with respect to the point where I am in my adult life”, concluded the author of hits like “Shape of You” and perfect.

During the composition process of “-“which was carried out throughout February last year, Sheeran teamed up with musician and songwriter Aaron Desnerknown for his work in the American rock band The Nationalwith whom he wrote more than 30 songs while staying in a studio in the city of Kent.
The album will be presented live as part of the second season of Apple Music Live, the series of exclusive concerts on the Apple TV+ and Apple Music platforms that can be seen live by users of the service, with a show in which Sheeran will feature the company on stage of a band made up of 12 musicians.
