“The Geissens”: Davina Geiss in mortal danger

“The Geissens”: Davina Geiss in mortal danger

Shocking scenes in “Davina & Shania – We Love Monaco”. Robert Geiss’ Porsche caught fire in the underground car park of the family property in Monaco – shortly after Davina got out of the car.

The last episode of the current second season of the RTL2 format “Davina & Shania – We Love Monaco” ended dramatically. In January of this year, father Robert Geiss’ Porsche caught fire and burst into flames – shortly after daughter Davina had parked the sports car. The 20-year-old tried to put out the fire, then she escaped outside. The GT3 burned out completely, and afterwards there wasn’t much left of the sports car.

Robert Geiss Porsche on fire – no one wanted to help

“I’m very traumatized,” said Davina shortly after the incidents in the Geissens underground car park in Monaco. While 15 fire engines are still on site, she tries to explain to the camera team what has happened in the garage of the millionaire family in the last few minutes.

The Porsche GT3 burned out completely.

After Davina parked her father’s sports car, flames and smoke are said to have suddenly developed on the car. First, she and her friend tried to put out the fire with sand. When she couldn’t breathe anymore, she fled outside and asked the caretaker for help.

But neither the caretaker nor neighbors nor civilians wanted to help the girls. Only when the smoke increased did people come out of their homes. But instead of helping, they are said to have blamed Davina for the incident. “I’m so mad at the people here,” says Davina afterwards, stunned.

The cause of the accident is not yet clear

Shortly thereafter, the 20-year-old comes to the hospital with smoke poisoning, later she shares a photo of the burnt Porsche on Instagram and comments on it with the words: “My biggest nightmare!”. In her Instagram story she writes: “I could have died in this car.”

Davina Geiss was in the emergency room for four hours.

Davina comes to the emergency room. After four hours under the oxygen mask, she is physically better here, but she is visibly traumatized by the incident. She says: “So you can see how quickly life can end and that you can really be thankful for living and getting up every day.”

The incident is inexplicable for Robert and Carmen Geiss. The entrepreneur commented on the picture of his daughter with the words: “My brand new GT3 from Porsche just went up in smoke. How something like that can happen is a mystery to me.” The most important thing, however, is that nothing happened to Davina. “You reacted great,” he writes and continues: “Dad is proud of you, because it could have turned out differently!”

“It’s really sad for German workmanship”

At the time of the accident, the millionaire couple were traveling in Dubai. In an interview with “RTL”, Carmen was shocked and furious. “Of course, the shock is deep. You are miles away from your child when something like this happens,” she says. Especially in the underground car park, smoke is “the most harmful and the worst thing there is,” agrees Robert.

At the end of April, the 58-year-old shared pictures of the accident car again after the scenes on “The Geissens – a terribly glamorous family” were broadcast. She writes: “Yesterday’s episode really brought tears to my eyes when I saw our Porsche GT3 on TV.”

It is incomprehensible that Porsche is still not investigating the cause, even though “dozens of experts and engineers” have already looked at the damage. “That’s really sad for German workmanship. After all, it was a new vehicle with 1,700 km on it,” she emphasizes.

Now Porsche expresses itself

There was still no reaction from the car manufacturer at the time. Carmen said at the time: “Unfortunately, they (Porsche) keep a low profile. They might think about how to get out of the number. That’s how it seems to me now.”

Now, almost a month after Carmen’s Instagram post, Porsche is taking action. According to “RTL”, the manufacturer is currently asking all current GT3 cars to go to the workshop due to a faulty oil filler neck. A spokesman confirmed this, but emphasized: “The facts, especially with regard to the cause of the fire, have not yet been finally clarified by experts.”

But Robert Geiss sees it differently. He knows: “We also have a few acquaintances who drive races and they all said: That’s only possible with oil or petrol that the car burned down like that.”
