Following her appearance at the UN Climate Change Conference 2021 in Glasgow, the activist will pay another visit to Scotland in August.
Greta Thunberg (20) will be attending a “Special Event” as part of this year’s Edinburgh International Book Festival on August 13, 2023. As the news channel “Sky News” further reports, the Swedish climate activist will give a speech there and be available for detailed discussions with her audience.
Greta Thunberg’s new work: “The Climate Book”
Thunberg will also present her work “The Climate Book”, which was published in October 2022, at the event entitled “It’s Not Too Late To Change The World”. It is a more than five hundred-page non-fiction book on the subject of climate change and climate protection that she wrote in collaboration with over a hundred experts – from leaders of indigenous peoples and renowned scientists to activists.
“Source of inspiration for millions of people around the world”
The management of the renowned book festival said of the planned appearance: “No one speaks the truth to power like Greta Thunberg: her words and actions have given hope to countless young activists. This is a rare opportunity to spend time in the presence of a young woman , whose conviction and defiant energy is a source of inspiration to millions around the world.”
