The Freistadt Cultural Association “theater time” announces two competitions for young artists. The Puls!Film competition is looking for short films with a maximum length of seven minutes that deal with the topic “Dreams‡Reality” deal with. Young filmmakers from Austria and the Czech Republic are invited to send creative and innovative film ideas to [email protected] by June 25th, which can be recorded with a camera or smartphone. All submissions will be shown at the Puls!Film Gala in the Freistadt exhibition hall on July 26th at 8 p.m. A top-class jury, including star director Robert Dornhelm and his colleagues Harald Sicherheititz and Arman T. Riahi, will determine the winners. There is a separate category for students.
Top-class juries select
For talents who prefer to write, the Literaturzeit Freistadt organizes the competition “dream & reality” out of. Students between the ages of 10 and 15 can submit texts of up to 5,000 characters on this topic. The ten best works will be presented at the Literature Time Festival on August 4th at 7 p.m. in the Freistadt Exhibition Hall. The winning text will be rewarded with 300 euros and a publication in the Literaturzeit programme. The jury includes literary critic Heinz Sichrovsky, ZiB moderator Tarek Leitner and the award-winning German author David Wagner. Submissions can be made to [email protected] by June 15, stating age, name, telephone number and email address.
