Hollywood star Forest Whitaker mourns the loss of his ex-wife Keisha Nash. She died at the age of 51. Whitaker and Nash were married from 1996 to 2018 and have two daughters together. Younger daughter True Whitaker confirmed her mother’s death in an Instagram Story she shared on Thursday.
“Farewell, mom. I love you forever and beyond,” the 25-year-old wrote alongside a black and white photo of her mother. “The most beautiful woman in the world… Thank you for teaching me everything I know. I will see you in my dreams and I will feel you in my heart.” A cause of death was not initially made public. Keisha Nash has had repeated health problems in recent years and battled anorexia.

Forest Whitaker and Keisha Nash met on the set of the 1994 film Blown Away. Nash, who worked as a model and actress, played Whitaker’s girlfriend in the film. In a 2020 interview with Essence magazine, Nash said she saw Whitaker in “A Rage in Harlem” (1991) before the two met: “I immediately thought Forest had a gentle soul and a good spirit.”
