Pop star Frank Zander had to undergo surgery because of a build-up of brain fluid. How is he now?
Pop star Frank Zander (81) survived his head operation well, according to information from his son. “He’s fine, he’s in his room. The operation went well,” his son Marcus Zander told dpa. He has a little headache and should now drink a lot of water.
“He’s looking forward to my visit, then we’ll toast together with a sip of beer and discuss how the further follow-up treatment should proceed.”
At the end of December, the family announced that Zander senior was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a build-up of brain fluid. The 81-year-old is being treated at the Berlin Charité. On Friday, the Berlin veteran had said in a typical regional way: “But I know it’ll be fine and I’m looking forward to a freshly tapped beer after the operation.”
On December 22nd, the Zander family hosted the Christmas party for homeless people in Berlin for the first time since the corona pandemic – only without Frank Zander.
