According to her own statements, the Oscar winner would have been seen in several other well-known films today if she hadn’t prioritized her children around 20 years ago.
Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow (“Shakespeare in Love”) says she gave up many roles in order to raise her children. “I mean, it’s funny because it didn’t feel like a sacrifice to me at the time,” explained the 51-year-old, who has a 19-year-old daughter and a 19-year-old daughter with Coldplay singer Chris Martin (47), her ex-husband has an 18-year-old son, on the US talk show “Today with Hoda & Jenna”.
“But when I look back at it through a cultural lens, I think, wow, if people knew I didn’t do this or that movie, they’d be pretty shocked.” When asked by the moderator about these films, Paltrow said with a laugh that she would “never” reveal them.
The actress told People magazine last November that she stepped away from acting when her daughter was born. “Everything has been redefined for me.”
