Désirée Nick: Weakness was “psychosomatic”

Désirée Nick (65) collapsed while filming a new RTL program and was taken to hospital. Now the entertainer has reported from the clinic. “I have a complete film tear,” she explains. “My heart was only beating at 30 beats per minute. 90 is normal. That stands for an infinite psychological burden. So my heart almost stopped.”

In the meantime, however, she is doing better, she is staying in the hospital for another day “only for safety reasons”. Tomorrow she wants to go back to her house with her son, who has flown in from London. Nick explains that she did not clearly experience the collapse herself, but she knows why it happened. “That was psychosomatic, a fit of weakness out of self-protection. The doctors also told me that there is such a thing.” During the RTL shoot, it was not clear to her “how this show is going exactly. Especially who is moderating it”. She no longer had on the screen that Olivia Jones (52), with whom she claims to be at war with, will lead through the show.
