Writer and poet Mark O’Brien, played by John Hawkes survives thanks to the implant of an artificial lungand his illness has him bedridden. At 38 years old he still hasn’t had the chance to be with any womanbut decides that it is time to take this step.
To do this, he hires sexologist Cheryl Cohen to help him learn about seduction and pleasure. With her help, through sessions he will try to lose his fear of loving and having sexual relationships with those he feels attracted to.
