Regina Halmich is auctioning off her boxing gloves after the Raab fight. Bids for her equipment will be accepted until September 24th.
Attention boxing fans: Shortly after her successful fight on Saturday evening against Stefan Raab (57), Regina Halmich (47) announced that she wanted to auction off her boxing gloves for a good cause. Just a few hours later, they can now actually be purchased in an auction. The platform has now been activated where bids can be placed for Halmich’s purple and gold work tools. The highest bid is currently a proud 8,250 euros.
The estimated value was originally just 1,500 euros. The auction ends on September 24th at 5 p.m. The description states that these are the original Pro Mexican TF boxing gloves from the Paffensport brand from the “Clark Final Fight” against Raab on September 14th. The proceeds will go to the “RTL Foundation – We Help Children”, which also receives the proceeds from the famous RTL fundraising marathon.
Regina Halmich duelled with TV legend Stefan Raab for the third time in a show fight on Saturday and won the third duel clearly and confidently on points. This made her the main protagonist alongside Raab in the spectacular comeback of the presenter, who appeared in front of a TV camera for the first time since his TV farewell in 2015.
Regina Halmich will never fight against Stefan Raab again
The Karlsruhe native is considered one of the most successful boxers in history and was the undefeated WIBF flyweight world champion between 1995 and 2007. In total, she fought 56 professional fights, of which she won 54. In 2021, she became only the fifth woman overall to be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. After the most recent fight against Raab, Halmich announced that she never wanted to get into a ring with the entertainer again.
Raab announced in the boxing ring that he would be doing shows again from now on. He has agreed a five-year contract with RTL, which includes a weekly show, which will be broadcast for the first time on Wednesday, September 18, as well as major TV events.
