Dolly Parton may not have any children of her own, but her house is still full of young guests at Christmas. The country singer says she likes to surprise them in a special way every year.
According to her own words, country singer Dolly Parton likes to surprise her guests at Christmas with her own version of Santa Claus. “Every year I play Grandma Claus – I slip into my Santa Claus costume,” the 78-year-old told Good Housekeeping magazine.
Although Parton and her husband, Carl Dean, have no children of their own, their house is full of young people at Christmas, the singer said. She had all the nieces and nephews and all the great-nieces and nephews as guests and all the little children of the people who worked for her. “So I sort of adopted a whole bunch of people,” Parton said. “And I do everything I can to put a smile on their faces.”
The country legend wrote on Instagram last year that she likes to celebrate Christmas dressed appropriately and shared pictures of some of her red and white Christmas costumes.
