A US satellite captured images of the Chinese aircraft carrier CNS Liaoning in the sea of Bohai. With these operations, China continues to strengthen its naval power, as the largest maritime force in the world with more than 370 ships and submarines.
At the same time as the capture of the images of the CNS Liaoning, its other aircraft carrier, the CNS Fujianbegan its fifth trial at sea after leaving Shanghai.

The CNS Liaoning, with a displacement of 66,000 tons, was spotted in northeastern China after a series of joint operations in the Sea of Southern China. For its part, the 80,000-ton CNS Fujian will test an innovative catapult-assisted takeoff system.
This system, which uses electromagnetic catapults, could represent a significant technological advance in the operational capacity of Chinese aircraft carriers.

New capabilities and challenges in naval modernization
China has advances in naval aviation. Recently, the fighter was presented J-15Tdesigned to operate with catapult-assisted takeoff systems, for transport more fuel and ammunition. This development underscores the country’s focus on improving the efficiency and autonomy of its maritime operations.
Meanwhile, China explores energy innovations, developing nuclear reactor prototype which could eventually be used on aircraft carriers. This advance could mark a strategic change, allowing longer operations.
US response and tensions in the Indo-Pacific
Faced with Chinese naval growth, the United States redoubled its presence in the region. Two of its 11 aircraft carriers operate near Chinese waters. He USS George Washington heads to its base in Yokosuka, Japan, while the USS Abraham Lincoln transits through the Strait of Malacca after leaving the Middle East.
These maneuvers underline the cstrategic competence in the Indo-Pacifica key region between both powers. According to analysts, China’s naval expansion seeks to consolidate its influence in disputed areas such as the South China Sea, while the United States reinforces its commitment to the security of its allies and freedom of navigation in the region.
The modernization of China’s naval forces and their active deployment in strategic areas poses a scenario of growing rivalry, where technological innovations and regional alliances will play a crucial role in shaping the global maritime balance of power.
