Christopher McQuarriedirector of Mission Impossible: Final Judgmentis advancing the movie Tom Cruiseand audiences are apparently primed for an exciting film.
In what is reportedly the final film in the franchise starring Cruise, McQuarrie said an audience member at an early screening had a quite different reaction.
“We did a little screening and someone said, ‘I was choking during the whole sequence. ‘It almost gave me a heart attack.’ And I thought, ‘I guess we did something right.’”McQuarrie told Empire, according to GamesRadar.
McQuarrie didn’t reveal what action sequence made the viewer feel that way, but the film’s trailer showed Ethan Hunt (Cruise) fighting enemies underwater, from airplanes, and in many more jaw-dropping scenes.

The filmmaker returned to direct the latest installment of Mission: Impossible, of which he has been a part since Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation 2015. McQuarrie also directed 2018’s Fallout and 2023’s Dead Reckoning.
The cast of Final Sentence is completed with Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Vanessa Kirby, Mariela Garriga, Henry Czerny, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell and Frederick Schmidt.
Others who will make their Mission: Impossible debut in the eighth installment include Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Katy O’Brian and Stephen Oyoung.
Angela Bassett She also returns to the Mission: Impossible franchise in Final Judgment to reprise her role as CIA Director Erika Sloane, which she originated in 2018’s Fallout.
