Moderator Steven Gätjen also speaks in a current podcast about the dark sides of the famous and provides private insights.
Moderator Steven Gätjen (52) is known for his professional way when he presents big shows or interviewed Hollywood stars on the red carpets of the world. But in conversation with journalist Eva Schulz (35) for the N-Joy “Deutschland3000” (), the 52-year-old now shows a completely different, more personal side. Gätjen has been hosting the “NDR Talk Show” since January and has long been considered one of the most famous TV faces in the country – but fame has its price, as he openly reported in the podcast.
“You are a public good,” explains Gätjen with a view to his prominence and describes unadorned, which means: “I also got a lot into my snout. I was taken down by humans in the most malignant, humble, personal way.” It seems particularly important to the TV presenter to clean up with false ideas. “I think the famous thing that young people have in mind is a car wash. Of course you have privileges. But that’s just a percentage,” says Gätjen.
Steven Gätjen: “This is bullshit!”
Gätjen is obviously particularly close to the deceleration for young people. “I think it is important to give children the opportunity to make mistakes themselves and, above all, find out: What is good for me, as a personality?” He emphasizes in the podcast. His appeal against exaggerated expectations of adolescents is clear: “This pressure, which we socially exercised again: at 18 you have to know what you are doing. This is bullshit!”
