Musicians in the area of ​​the popular hit are often smiled at. But singer Stefanie Hertel has little understanding.

Popular hits have always triggered controversy – and even completely inappropriate reactions for some observers. The singer, moderator and musical actress Stefanie Hertel (45), as she revealed in a current interview with the magazine “Superillu”. In the course of her long career, she was not always enthusiastic about her: “I didn’t think it was nice when some smile at my music. And if it was not understood that my success means hard work.”

At some point, however, she learned to deal with something like this and to concentrate on the positive in life. The secret of her success is still: “Perhaps people will feel the joy that I feel when I am on stage.” Hertel has been inspiring her fans for 40 years now and is therefore also celebrating her big stage anniversary this year. On this occasion, she is planning not only an exhibition in her home country, the Vogtland, but also an open air.

Stefanie Hertel started her career as a small child

Hertel was already on stage with her father, the folk musician Eberhard Hertel (1938-2024), and debuted for the first time at the tender age of six on TV-at that time in the GDR show “Oberhofer Bauernmarkt”. Hertel then celebrated her all -German breakthrough in 1992 as the winner of the “Grand Prix of Folk Music” with her song “A Brückerl”. Just a year earlier, she met her future husband Stefan Mross (49) at the same event. The two were officially a couple from 1994. Her daughter Johanna Mross (23) was born in 2001, followed by the wedding in 2006. The marriage was divorced again in 2012.

Hertel is now happily married for the second time. In April 2014 she took the Austrian rock musician Leopold Lanner (50) to the husband. The singer has lived with her family for many years in Chiemgau, Upper Bavaria.
