A 35-year-old from the Wels-Land district drove his car on the B1 in Vöcklabruck at around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, coming from the direction of Timelkam towards Attnang-Puchheim. At the same time, a 33-year-old from the Vöcklabruck district turned left from the B145 onto the B1.
The two vehicles collided in the intersection area, causing the 33-year-old’s vehicle to be rotated 180 degrees. Both drivers said they entered the intersection when the traffic light went green.
After the traffic accident, the 33-year-old complained of pain in the shoulder area. An alcohol test carried out on the 35-year-old showed an alcohol content of 1.44 per thousand. His driver’s license was taken away. The Vöcklabruck fire brigade was deployed to recover the vehicle and clean the road.
