KTM rider Miguel Oliveira won Indonesian Moto GP

After a race delay of more than an hour due to the weather, the 27-year-old celebrated his fourth MotoGP success from seventh on the grid. His team-mate Brad Binder had previously finished second at the start of the season in Qatar. The South African is second in the World Championship standings after two races, Oliveira fourth.

The French world champion Fabio Quartarao on a Yamaha and his compatriot Johann Zarco on a Ducati landed behind the Iberian. In the Constructors’ Championship, Yamaha is ahead. The six-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez missed the GP, the Spaniard was declared unfit by the doctors after a fall during the break-in. Marquez had landed on the track after a highside and had suffered a concussion, among other things, according to investigations at the hospital. It was the first Grand Prix in Indonesia in 25 years.
