Barbary lions are extinct in the wild. They were once native to North Africa. The big cats are only kept in a few zoos worldwide. However, visitors still have to be patient before they see the four lion cubs.
First of all, the ongoing modernization work on the outdoor enclosure in Pilsen must be completed. This is expected in June. Tamika came to the West Bohemian industrial and beer city in 2015 from the adventure zoo in Hanover. It was already the fourth litter of the seven-year-old lion lady.
Localization: Pilsen is almost 90 kilometers west of Prague.
