Once a month special people in Ottensheim serve pastries

Shortly before the first Saturday of the month, there is always a lot of activity in the “Ottensheimat SAT” residential community (Hartheim Institute) for people with disabilities. The kitchen is transformed into a bakery. Caregivers as well as residents stir, knead and mix eagerly, because there are several pastries to be made from organic food.

The reason for the effort is the so-called “PostSamday”, to which the residential group has been inviting once a month since autumn 2020 in Johanna Böker’s and Reinhold Feizlmayr’s Gasthof zur Post in Ottensheim. “On this day we serve our pastries from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. against voluntary donations,” says Martina Öllinger, an employee of “Ottensheimat SAT”. The residents would always look forward to it, “because they experience appreciation and have the opportunity to get in touch with the people in Ottensheim”. Next week they invite you again to the “PostSaturday”. “We look forward to many nice guests,” says Öllinger.
