“Crib shows” in the district museum of Herzogsburg in Braunau: The museum association exhibits, among other things, the almost 300-year-old nativity scene in Braunau with free admission, in which various biblical scenes are shown at the same time.
In addition, the representations combine biblical and regional motifs, so that, in addition to the traditional nativity figures, there are also figures in traditional Innviertel costumes. The museum even has its own hidden object game for the details of the Braunau nativity scene. Incidentally, the idea of the publicly displayed church nativity scene spread in the course of the 17th century.
