AMAG social award for Diakoniewerk

With its social prize, the aluminum manufacturer AMAG supports social commitment – this year the project “A new place to rest for the clients of the workshop of the Diakoniewerk Mauerkirchen”. With the purchase of leather sofas, seat cushions and tables worth around 10,000 euros, seating for a total of 63 people was created in the workshop lounge, which is used, among other things, as a place for communication and as a place of retreat.

The project was submitted by Brigitte Feichtenschlager, a member of the AMAG Corporate Communications team. “The new furniture is a great addition to our break room. The redesign invites you to linger, relax and unwind. We feel very comfortable. Thank you for the great support,” says Michaela Leiner, head of the Diakoniewerk workshop in Mauerkirchen.

As part of the 2022 Social Award, AMAG is supporting several projects with a budget of EUR 26,000, including the Red Cross’s search dog unit. As part of AMAG’s own summer culture initiative, 36 events were supported this year by clubs and organizations with a total budget of 20,000 euros, in which AMAG employees are involved on a voluntary basis. AMAG is a leading Austrian premium supplier of high-quality cast and rolled aluminum products that are used in a wide variety of industries such as the aircraft, automotive, sporting goods, lighting, mechanical engineering, construction and packaging industries.
