Warren Buffett’s son is now Colombian

“I am very honored to be here with you and present this citizenship to you in recognition of all that you have done for our nation,” Duque said during an event at the Colombian embassy in Washington, according to the presidency.

Buffett, son of American billionaire Warren Buffett, said that receiving this nationality “is a great honor.”

“Colombia is a very special place and now I have a place to go when I retire,” joked the millionaire, who has made several donations to the country through the foundation that bears his name.

The most important of them was announced at the beginning of 2020, when Buffett pledged to deliver 46 million dollars for the construction of highways in the Catatumbo region, bordering Venezuela and which concentrates the largest amount of drug crops in all of Colombia.
