The Argentine brigade that was sent to Turkey

The USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) brigade was chosen to travel to Turkey to rescue survivors. It was made up of 28 highly qualified personnel from the Special Rescue Brigade of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA), which arrived on Turkish soil on February 9. The list of rescuers was completed by four members of the Argentine Agency for International Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance – White Helmets (Aciah).

The Argentine team returned this Sunday after the Turkish government ended the rescue operations, which continue only in the two provinces hardest hit by the earthquake.

This Monday the concern in Turkey increased by a new earthquake of magnitude 6.4 on the Richter scale in Hatay province, in the south of the country. In this new earthquake at least three people died and more than 200 were injuredas officially reported and are already being carried out evacuations in the affected areas.
